Prickly Pear weaving, start to finish

I have another project going on my loom at the moment so I wove this piece on a cardboard box! It’s sewn onto a dowel for easy hanging and backed with a nice soft cotton jersey.
Come see me today at CCA(C)’s annual Holiday Fair!

5212 Broadway in Oakland, CA! See you there 🙂
Can’t make this one? Catch me next time! You can keep track of all my calendar events here or sign up for email updates!
So excited to start weaving again!!

A very special Xmas gift from my partner — I can’t wait to try out this beautiful loom by Roving Textiles!!
A stocking for a special cat!

I made this silly stocking for my friends’ cat — a rescued former street cat, still partial to pizza. Merry Xmas, Steve! <3
Processing some feelings in the studio.

No lie, I am struggling with feelings of hopelessness and sadness and anxiety right now. One of the things I’ve loved most about clay since my very first interaction with it is the way it responds to deep feelings and supports emotional processing with your whole body…so here I am again, working it out in the studio.
Catch me at the CCA(C) Holiday Fair!

5212 Broadway in Oakland! It’s a beautiful day for it!
